Anniversary Week: 2

So getting engaged is the easy part. After that it was time to pick a date, and color schemes, and suits, ties, dresses, THE dress, shoes, cake, food, reception, temple... lots of things.

Andrew and I are both from the east coast, so we decided we should get married there. We chose the Raleigh, NC temple- which is the temple just right in between the cities where my family lives and where his family lives. It's a really small temple and the one I had grown up going to and I just love it.

Since we got engaged at the end of October, we couldn't get married until the end of winter semester. We felt that December was too soon (one month!) to plan a wedding, and we couldn't fly all the way home for a week in the middle of the semester. So that meant April. Which was 6 months away. We weren't too thrilled about having to wait so long, but April is such a gorgeous month- especially in North Carolina, so that made up for it. We chose April 28, because it gave me enough time to finish finals, fly back home and finish some last minute details before the wedding. Also, Andrew really liked 04.28.12 because it's aesthetically pleasing. (He's big on that stuff).

With the wedding being 6 months away, we decided to send out Save the Dates so that people could... ya know... save the date. Heh. We ordered our STDs (...uhhhh) from Minted. I could seriously spend hours on that website. It's typically a little bit on the pricey side, but since our design was so simple we were able to keep the cost down.

I loooove the way they turned out! And it even came with a little personal note from our designer. They worked really well to give us exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend them :)
